To show our love for Moz, we gave away a pair of tickets to his SOLD OUT show in Los Angeles. We hope that this giveaway was as much fun for you as it was to us. What impacted us the most was how you responded and how much Morrissey’s music had touched your lives. We couldn’t end this contest without sharing with you some of the great personal comments people made. It is all public on our LA Facebook page, but here are some of your comments-

“I love Morrissey for the message he stands for. I have grown up listening to him and each song continuously develops a new meaning for me. He is an artist and a storyteller. Morrissey paints you a picture of life, of the good and bad, of the corrupt and the pleasant, of desire, of love and the heartbreak and vulnerability that may ensue. Morrissey is raw and real, he is uncensored, he is educated, he is liberated. He isn’t just a singer, he isn’t just the face of the Smiths, he isn’t just an icon for his music, he is the light to many people’s darkness, he is an individual, a real human who has willingly exposed himself bare through song and his artistic abilities. I love Morrissey for all that he is and all that he stands for, for what he envisions and what he creates. Always, always Moz Army♥”

“I love morrissey because he seems to be the only person that can speak to me with his lyrics and understand me at the same time. For some reason when I’m down, I listen to thus guy and flips it around or puts me at ease. I’m pretty damn sure his music has prevented so many suicide attempts. He is the best thing to ever happen to music. No one touches morrissey. Moz, Moz!!!- “I can’t help quoting you, cause everything that you say rings true”

“I love Morrissey because his music developed the person who I am today. From the first Instant I heard his music I fell in love with his lyrical genious!!! I can honestly say that every major event whether it was good or bad I can relate it to a Morrissey or Smith song. Morrissey Indeed changed my life, and for that I am thankful.”

“I love Morrissey because he was a voice when I felt I didn’t have one. He sang about heartache and living and the woes of the world. It was sorta this voice when I was 15 that was telling me, “anything you might be going through or will go through, I’ve been there and I’m here for you.” It was a sense of comfort that The Smiths/Moz brought…”

“…a few years ago I was in ICU barely alive from my apendix busting this was right before the Paladium shows, My sister played The Smiths& Moz while i was under which I heard every word but couldnt respond not only through my daily life has he kept me safe But with God and Moz on your side you can’t go wrong…”

“Morrissey means so much to me. Every song brings back a memory, an emotion and time in my life. I bonded with family over my wild stories of my trips to see him, which were amazing moments of my life! More importantly I met my best friend thanks to him one night almost 10 years ago having both lucked out on tickets to his show…”

MY comment was the best. My personal deep comment should have won alone. But that’s how this world is these days. Shallow comments win over personal pain. smh
